MEET THE TEAM
Kate Grimm
Founder and Trainer
While I have spent my life surrounded by animals, I officially started working in the industry in 2015, after obtaining a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Business Management. I gained experience working in multiple dog boarding and daycare facilities prior to, and while growing, Sigh of Relief.
In the spring of 2017, Sigh of Relief was opened for dog walking. I was accredited as an Animal Behavior College Certified Dog Trainer (ABCDT) in 2018. Since then, I have continued my education in training and dog behavior by working with trainers who truly encompass the meaning of holistic dog training.
My goal is to use all of my knowledge not only in training, but throughout every service that Sigh of Relief offers.

As a kid I remember 'a dog' always being at the very top of every one of my wish lists. I knew I was ready; I'd watched every program that Animal Planet had ever produced and could quote just about anything from that big book on different dog breeds. But with each year and each 'no' that went by I accepted that if I couldn't care for my own, I needed to find a way to care for yours. It all started with occasionally house and pet-sitting for friends and neighbors and by 2017 I'd been given the opportunity to enter the industry professionally. In 2020 I joined the Sigh of Relief family and working alongside Kate to help enrich the lives of your pets has really been the greatest gift of all!
There's not much I'll do if I can't do it with my dog, Harper. Hikes in the woods are our favorite, after all! But while she sleeps you might find me reading, writing, cooking, drinking way too much coffee and telling myself that I should really watch that one show that's been on my watch list for the last four years.

It's been more than fulfilling, and truly rejuvenating to have the privilege to take care of not only my own pup, but also others! It's the secret sauce to life I believe, and it's helped me on my own journey towards a healthier lifestyle. Sun, rain, or snow, I find every step beside a furry friend to be a move in the right direction.
When I'm not walking my dog, Ollie the Collie, I'm diving into my love for storytelling and baking.

I got into dogs at a very young age. My house was practically a zoo growing up, I was surrounded by many furry friends, specifically dogs. I always knew I had to help animals and their owners in whatever capacity I could. At 15 I started working for my family’s dog grooming business, that quickly expanded to dog boarding, and eventually I parted ways to join other areas of the dog care industry, which led me to taking a dog training mentorship. With 8+ years in this industry, I’m dedicated to caring for your beloved four legged friends.
When I’m not working with my own dog, or your dogs, I’m at home with friends/family, watching movies, playing games and taking small road trips. I’m beyond thrilled to be apart of the Sigh Of Relief team, and I cannot wait to learn and grow with this company.

I grew up in a house full of dogs my whole life, and I knew I wanted to extend my love for pups outside of my home as well. I love getting to see their happy faces when I visit and I’m seeing the effects of staying active and being outdoors with my new four-legged friends as a career. I spend my nights teaching dance and it makes me so proud to see my students grow and achieve success. Working with these dogs has created the same feeling for me. Dogs have the most energetic and quirky personalities and I love watching them open up the more I get to know them. They really do live and breathe for their humans and make such an impact on our lives.
If I’m not home snuggling my three pups, you can find me at the movies, shopping at local markets, or singing loudly at concerts. I love the arts as well! You might find me out snapping photos for my photography course at Cornell University or dancing down the street.
